Grandma B
The 3 of you that actually read this, know who Grandma B is, and how much we rely on her around here. Well, we finally get to start paying back some of the help she has given to us. Grandma B had back surgery yesterday. All is well, but it will be a slow healing process due to her age. Any prayers that you can spare would be great.
Sleep .. zzzzzzzzzz
Dictionary.com defines sleep like this: to take the rest afforded by a suspension of voluntary bodily functions and the natural suspension, complete or partial, of consciousness; cease being awake.
Wondertwin C defines it like this: wwwwaaaaahhhh, Mmmmmmoooooommmmmmmmmmyyyyyy where are you?
I am getting so tired. Both twins have been waking at night. They are either in pain that I can't find or they could be having night terrors. Honestly, I am too tired to tell the difference.

Another deep thought by Curly Girl
CG - Mom, how can A get the chicken pox with her allergy?
Me - It is a different kind of chicken.
CG - Oh, I guess A is gonna get the cow pox!
For the uninformed, A is allergic to chicken.

Jesus' Suffering?
Curly Girls (4) just came up to me and told me the following:
"Mom, I did not eat the bread last year at the Lord's Supper (at Atrium), because I was scared." I asked her why she was scared, figuring she meant her allergies. She told me that she was scared she thought the bread was from church. This obviously did not clear the fear up for me, so I persisted, by asking again why she was afraid. The told me, "I do not want to hurt Jesus more by eating his body."
She is very deep today!

Dragon(s)?
Behind me the twins are arguing when it goes:
C - "Puff the magic dragonS"
A - "Puff the magic dragon"
After that line they agree that it continues "lives by the sea, and jfsfjf in the aumist in honwee."

Kidisms
C - Mom I am hungry.
Me - Well supper is almost ready and you have been eating for 2 hours straight.
C - I want a potato.
Me - Do you want me to cook it?
C - No
Me - Well at least let me wash it.
C- Ok.
I wash and cut the potato.
C - after 2 bites, sighs, ok mom, you can cook it.
I thought this was really funny!

Back among the living
I cannot believe that I am saying this, but we were sick AGAIN. Last Thursday, Curly Girl, Diva, and the Wondertwins were struck with the bug again. Then on Friday, it hit me. I was in more pain than I can ever remember being in. My entire body hurt. On Saturday, I was the most sick I have ever been. Today, Monday, we are all finally better. Teen went home to her parents to either be sick at home with her Mom or to avoid it altogether.
I promise to blog about something other than being sick - soon.

Vegetarian?
Ok, so Diva has decided on a new way to make mealtimes (and cooking) crazy for me. Now that we no longer have to avoid dairy, eggs, nuts, etc - and meal planning and cooking had become almost routine, Diva has announced that she is a vegetarian.
Now, first of all, where did she hear this word? We really do not know. She has no friends that are vegetarian. It is so strange to hear her tell people that she is a vegetarian.
Second, she is pretty good at sticking with it. Well, for the past 3 days anyway. She even picked the sausage off of her school lunch pizza, skipped meatballs at dinner, and had a meatless taco. Today she forgot, and ate the sausage with "breakfast for lunch" at school. She told me it was because she is new at this. LOL
Diva has never been a big meat eater, but since we can't have yogurt in the house (that is a whole other post), and she cannot have more than 2 servings of milk in a day, I have a hard time know what to feed her. How much protein (and iron? is that in meat too?) does a smalling 6 year old need? What can I feed this child? Should I go back to sprinkling nutritional yeast on everything?
I will keep you updated on her progress. As a friend said, maybe it is a phase.
Crazy meter - this is how i guage my craziness for the day - today was a 8 out of 10. Twins up before 6, whiney all day, no nap, vegetarian Diva, Curly Girl to the dentist, babysitting, religious ed. - add all of that up, and you get an 8. Craziest moment? When Wondertwin A was crying for 20 minutes without taking a breath because I would not let her play with my PDA (the battery was almost dead), Wondertwin B crying because I would not hold her and because she was hungry. I would not hold her because I was trying to make dinner for her.

Happy Anniversary Dear
Today is our 10th wedding anniversary! During those 10 years we have moved 6 times, had 3 pregnancies - bedrest for all of them, 4 babies, 1 Sugar Bowl game, 1 World Youth Day in Rome, many job changes, 3 different Catholic Churches, and many trips to Florida. Through it all, one thing has remained the same, Dad is the best rock to rely on. He has held our family together and supported me in everything I have done.
Thanks dear, for everything.
May God bless our marriage for many more years.
